Intent What will I learn?
You will enhance your employability by developing and demonstrating your knowledge of topics essential to enter the labour market or to advance in the world of work. Your Skills Passport Journey will comprise a series of short courses to align you to your Personal Ambitions for paid employment or volunteering. Your learning will prepare you to satisfy external accreditation requirements leading to qualifications which can transform and up-date your CV increasing your chances of securing interviews, progressing into work or achieving advancement in a workplace.
There are three possible 24 Hour Journeys or Models for you to select:

Impact What can I expect to achieve?
When you successfully achieve your learning goals, following course completion you will receive the followings awards (as appropriate to your selection):
First Aid at Work Level 3, Paediatric First Aid at Work Level 3, Health & Safety in the Workplace Level 2, Food Safety & Hygiene Level 2, Nutrition for Health Level 2.
What could this course lead to?
Our aim is that you use this knowledge to update your CV to improve your employability (for paid or voluntary work). However, the programme can be used as a learning foundation to progress to higher level vocational awards in Social Care, Childcare, Catering Construction, Events or Education. Many progression opportunities can be accessed via Liverpool Adult Learning Service and your tutors at STEC are qualified in IAG (Information Advice and Guidance) to support your progression.

RSPH Food Safety & Hygiene Level 2
Intent – what will I learn?
- The Legislative Context
- Food Safety Hazards – contamination / cross-contamination hazards, illness and injury, personal hygiene and behaviour change, legal requirements
- The control of food safety hazards – cross contamination, temperature control, stock / deliveries, workflow, work surfaces and equipment, work area, other hazards / potential hazards, food spoilage and waste, pest prevention.
RSPH Nutrition for Health Level 2

All RSPH qualifications are delivered over one day and are assessed by a 40 minute test comprising 25 multiple choice questions. These are marked externally by Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH).
